Ascension Stories #21: Nicole Page

Fighting for Change in the Eye of a Storm

By: Brian Reinthaler

Just a couple years ago, Nicole Page never could have foreseen being thrust into the center of a legal and media firestorm, but that's exactly where she found herself as her two areas of expertise collided amidst the disclosure in 2017 of decades worth of sexual harassment and assault allegations against film mogul Harvey Weinstein.

In this episode, the Reavis Page Jump name partner details the lessons that her involvement in these matters has offered, from her perspectives as a rare practitioner of both entertainment and employment law, and as a human being who has now witnessed the enormous toll even the most "successful" remediations of these behaviors takes on the victims.

Be sure to watch Nicole's next episode, in which she shows us what it looks like to do what you love.

See Nicole (and her colleague, Alice Jump) in action in the AltaClaro Webcast, "#MeToo, Now What? The Sexual Harassment Debate from the Legal Trenches." Nicole and Alice presented on and answer audience questions about workplace sexual harassment and the legal and cultural shifts necessary to address these behaviors and progress toward eliminating them altogether.
